What really irritates me is when Liberals cite the death count in Iraq, and blame Bush. How about placing the blame on the insurgents? The are traitors to their own country! The people of Iraq drafted their own Constitution, wrote their own laws, and elected their own officials.

After we quickly defeated Saddam's army, not one more person had to die. Every pointless death is the fault of the insurgents.

Why can't Libs get it through their Kool Aid-addled brains that the insurgents are responsible for the chaos and death? The terrorists do not want to respect the democratic process and the leaders that an overwhelming majority of Iraqis voted for, plain and simple. They are Islama fascists, trying to wrest control from the people and take it for themselves.

How many times, from Bosnia to Somalia, has the United States tried to stop the killing of Muslims? We have been their defenders. We freed the Afghans from the backwards tyranny of the Taliban, and freed the Iraqis from the Butcher of Baghdad. Who has tried, decade after decade, to negotiate a peace for the Palestinians? Certainly not the Arab countries. The United States has championed this cause, while the Persians and Arabs didn't lift a finger to help the process. They were content to let them rot in refuge camps.

Clearly, it's Reagan's fault. I thought republicans were the party of "personal responsibility." Why is it that whenever it's their fault they don't want to play the "blame game."

It's partisan politics at its finest, It's the same way that no republican can admit that Iraq was a mistake and America is getting screwed over by big corperations. Cons and libs are both guilty of it

Personally, I blame Reagan for all but the first one on your list.

Glad i'm not. Blame Amin Al Husseini for the problems we face today or you could blame British intervention in Jerusalem

It's human nature. We tend to selectively screen/skew our view of reality in favor of supporting the decisions we have already made - in this case partisanship.
Happens to everyone to some degree or another.

Okay, you have a list of events that were perpretated by Islamists (not that I have factual knowledge, but for the sake of argument). What is your point? The world is 1/6 Muslim (I think about a billion Muslms) so, in any religion, wouldn't there be some number that do 'bad things'? I'm not belittling the events - horrible each and every one. Is there a similar list of bad things done by other faiths over the past 22 years?

what wait, all terrorist attacks magically stopped at 9/11? I somehow think your list is incomplete. I probably shouldn't respond to you since you appear to have already made up your mind about the subject by the consistant use of derogatory terms at every chance you get.

But for others reading this, terrorism, including muslim terrorism has been a problem long before Bushes term in office. However, Bush's action have in the long run strengthened the hand of extremist terrorist groups. Attacking and destroying the infrastructure of countries is a good way to send new recruits into the hands of terrorists and make people willing to kill themselves for their cause.

What Bush really needed to do was isolate the terrorists and keep them from gaining any public support or sympathy, and work with foreign governments and police forces to deal with the problem. He certainly stopped doing by wasting US goodwill and military strength by invading Iraq.

So yes, Bushes foreign policies have been responsible for an increase in terrorism even if terrorism existed prior to his term in office.
