haggis and blood pudding- its gross ive been there.
I went to Scotland last summer; I ate a lot of “fish and chips” (battered fish, fries and a lot of salt/vinegar)— Drank a lot of red wine… ate a lot of fresh foods
Scotland has one of the highest incidence of heart disease in Europe (if not the highest), so basically I would say fatty food.
Deep-fried mars bar is a well known scottish post pub snack-no joke
Whiskey
Just kidding!
Haggis (free-range is best, leave the farmed stuff alone), black pudding, fish supper (yeah, fish and chips), scotch broth (lovely thick warming vegetable based soup), as well as the international dishes such as hamburgers, pizza, curry (which is very popular here). Posh people eat salmon (which is usually farmed here) or venison, but we don’t like them much although I would fight them for the salmon
