We are driving from Bristol to London. Where can we park the car and take the underground into the city?
I do not wish to leave a automobile in a bad area though we do not wish to expostulate it in to a city either. we have never been to London as well as wish to see touristy things though we undersatnd Londons subterraneous is a most appropriate approach to transport inside of a city…

you’ll spend twice as much time driving down the M4 and trying to find somewhere to park than you would spend on the train … and the train brings you straight into Paddington, easily accessible to central London without problem
if you really really insist on driving, have a look at car parks at tube stations http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/tubestationcarparks/default.aspx I’d suggest Hounslow West
Park the car in Scotland?
There are NCP car parks in the city centre, but you need to make a pact with the devil to afford the cost. If you are coming in from Bristol then chances are you’ll be coming down the M4. This will bring you into Shepherd’s Bush area. There is a massive shopping centre called Westfield where there will be loads of parking. Then simply take the Central Line (red) into Tottenham Court Road and you are at the centre of the West End for all the touristy things.
idk
Park the car at home in Bristol, and take the train. Driving to London is a waste of fuel.
I agree. Take the train Its faster and less stressful. Parking around London is expensive and scarce
First Great Western Trains run every 30 minutes from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington and take 1 hour 40 minutes, or from Bristol Parkway every 30 minutes (hourly at weekends) taking 95 minutes. For the cheapest fares book as far in advance as possible http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk
http://www.railcard.co.uk.
The Underground and Buses have a dense network in central London and of course you see more if you walk the shorter distances. Don’t buy individual tickets for each journey; just buy a one day Zone 1 & 2 travelcard, which is much cheaper
Don’t drive or take the train, It will cost you a fortune.
The best, easiest and by far the cheapest, is to catch the Megabus.
A single journey can be as low as £1 booked in advance, so Bristol to London and back for less than a £5 a bargain.
http://www.megabus.com to book online.
You can park the car at car parks around the Greater London Area but this can be equally expensive and it will take you added time to get into the centre of town. You have to take into account that London is a big city and it takes longer to cover a few miles than it might in other areas of the country.
Use other means of transport, like the coach to Victoria or the train into Paddington, both Stations are well situated for access the centre of the West end and the City.
Then buy an Oyster card to get around by bus or tube. This will save you money on public transport. If you can, use the buses for you will see much more of the town. You can also get bus and tube maps at the underground stations.
