Go Canoeing on the Wye. Make sure you visit Hay on Wye which is not far from there – eat at The Swan. Whilst in Hay, if the weather is nice, go up the mountain to Capel y Fin or Tregoyd. If you choose the right road you’ll end up at our Oasis which is on a bend and has a little dam and is so beautiful.
If you visit Builth Wells then eat at a little cafe opposite the toy shop. It’s sort of got two dining rooms and serves wonderful food.
If you visit Llandrindod Wells there is the Victorian Museum and the Rock Park. I can’t recommend anywhere to eat there.
Enjoy it. It’s fantasic. My dream would be to have a little cottage on one of the mountains there.
I love it in Rhayader it is absolutely beautiful there. The town itself is quite small but has a selection of pubs with good food and accommodation. It is the Elan Valley which is located there that you must go and see and you can see the rare red kite birds – it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been – you can also drive further along and go and see Devils Bridge in Aberystwyth
It is worth going onto the tourist information website for Mid Wales as there is so much to see and do there.

I have included a link that I use as they have over 11,000 fun things to do, GoThisPlace.com, is the UK’s largest and most comprehensive attractions database. With over 150 categories split into four main headings of activities, nature, property and recreation; spanning such diverse types as theme parks to transport museums, beaches to botanical gardens, show caves to soft play areas. With advanced features including pictures, opening times, restrictions, prices, interactive comments and questions coupled with interactive maps and a unique simple natural language search technology, named Geo Text Search, makes organising a day out, long weekend or a well earned vacation anywhere within Britain and Ireland a doddle.
