The country side is green with wild red poppies growing, if you are by the coast it is rocky and chilly. You can eat stews with beef and vegetables, loads of spuds (potatoes) and drink a glass of beer at the local pub or drink a nice shot of whiskey or scotch to warm you on a cold day.

There are old Castle ruins and stone bridges and pathways.

Foods like; Bangers and mash (sausages and mashed potatoes) Haggis, cocka-leaky soup (potato and leak)and kippers,(salted fish), and black pudding (blood sausage) rich puddings with brandy cream sauce or custard.

Edinburgh is where my family originated and it is a lovey quaint City. It has the Castle on the hill up the old mile road in town and it's a great mixture of old meets new.

I loved my visit and my German mother and my daughter have been for a few visits and loved it.

Scottish people are kind heart and genuine. You know where you stand and they are hospitable.

A day consists of eating breakfast with family, going of the work, school or shopping, a chat with family or friends, then lunch, next you might see the sights, and lastly go to the local pub for a chat and drink before toddling of home. You would eat a meal with your family around a table or have a meal on your lap while watching your favourite TV show. Serials are popular and music and tartan is a must and all family gatherings and parties.
