get a travel card on your oystercard. i get zones 2-5 and thats £17.50 a week (but i do get 1/3 off because im a student) so it should normally be around £25.
since ive stopped going to uni i havent been buying my weekly travel card so ive been using pay as you go, and in one week i spent £20+
so i'd say its better value to get a travel card

Go to the nearest tube station and ask about an Oyster for the year. You pay like 800GBP for zones 1-2-3 (I think) but it's for all travel the one year.

You already have the best option with you. Oyster is the best card
