I’m not 100% sure about tube prices but the closest station to HMT is picadilly circus – or Leicster Square which is what i would get as the central line runs through where i live.
A day travel card costs 5.60 all zones and a child 2.00 – If your going to a ot of stops then his is a good deal – M oyster saves me a lot more than this but you wont have one . You can get tickets from any designated newsagent near where your staying or just from tube stations.
I don’t think the tube has any family tickets anymore since the turnstyles only allow one person through at a time. You could get an oyster card which will cost you 3 quid and it saves you so much money.

How can anyone help you if you don’tsay where you are leaving from? Phone up the theatre and ask them which is the nearest station.London is a super place. Go early and shop around as its a late night shopping day but be careful of the pick pockets there.!!! Some are children so dont be taken in byh them nor by the people who beg yet get benefits from the government.
As we don’t know where you are travling from we can’t help as to which tube you will need. I would advise buying a family railcard as you only need to use it once to get your money back. You can also buy an all zone tube ticket which will last all day with unlimited travel. If you can find the nearest tube station you can pick up a map and your tickets. Have a great day out. Also do keep an eye on your bag and cash machines. don’t be paraniod just be aware.
I wouldn’t go thursday as that the day I told americans to visit so they can get tickets on a bus that will have fireworks on board.

A family Railcard costs £20 for a year, the children will cost hardly anything and the adults travel for a 1/3rd off the price.
From my local station I can buy a travel card which is return off peak travel to London including all zones on the underground.
