  1. Daniel C says:

Its not against the law to sell it I would not imagine, you see things on Antiques Roadshow occasionally

  2. Rover says:

It’s perfectly legal and there is a big market for the stuff.

  3. gilly g says:

Why were you shocked? It’s not like anyone can deny that it happened. This is quite common.

  4. Huge says:

There is noting wrong in selling historic artifacts or uniforms even if they are in bad taste. The only restrictions apply to weapons

  5. jamand says:

So – it is part of World History – there is still a market for it nowadays.

The Nazi’s did not die out at the end of the War – they are still around and amongst us even now.

There is no law to stop it – I have a German WW2 knife inscribed with Blood & Guts in German – doesn’t mean I am a Nazi.

it is part of history -

  6. kor0va_milkbar says:

Yeah, i thought it was illegal in th uK to be a nazi, therefore i would asume it would be illegal to priduce and sell nazi memorabilia…unless there are umbrellas from the war??

  7. Chris R says:

Nazi’s are just a part of history. Many many people collect the memorabilia.

It’s sort of like collecting things from ancient Egypt, those people were massive into slavery and oppression.

Or collecting things from the south in the civil war.

Or things from Mongolia (where they practiced genocide)

  8. Sarah S says:

god my second hand shop wont even sell knitting needles!

  9. Croxx says:

It breaks no laws in the UK.

  10. susan m says:

was that shop in Rhyl? if so i have seen the crap they sell, but, unfortunately there is no law against selling it. I wish there was

  11. thedugsbolux says:

Why would there be a law against it ? closet fascists like yourself don’t have the right to tell other people what to buy or sell or to read or what to watch if you get your way i guess the only books we’ll be reading will be Marx or Chairman Mau

  12. vdv_desantnik says:

its illegal in certain countries on mainland Europe (namely Germany, Austria and France) but its legal over here

  13. andy w says:

It was a period in world history. Would you rather see it all destroyed and we just forget about it.
There is a market for it and it is not illegal to sell it.

  14. Aberdeen Tyke says:

It sounds like a great shop. Where is it? I’ve always wanted 2 of the SS collar flashes for my denim jacket.

  15. robert c says:

These items are very collectible these days!

  16. Matthew T says:

It is not illegal to own anything related to a political point of view in the United Kingdom. That is why we can all happily own copies of the US constitution, Mao’s red book, Marx, Soviet hats, Nazi knick-knacks, anarchist books and so on. The only political thing I can think of that is illegal in Britain is the creation and wearing of a “political uniform”, ie a uniform for members of a political party (looking at you, blackshirts!) for wearing at party events, which does not count if said political party is defunct.

Of course, some genuine nazi sympathisers might buy the stuff (look out for army stores that accept euros! always a give away they’re selling to german tourists..nudge nudge) but there are also just collectors, the interested (I have a few Soviet awards and an Nazi-era Iron Cross) and other harmless types.

In Germany however, where the nazi ideology still does burn on quite well in the NDP, such stuff is banned and although there are freedom of speech issues blah blah the only people outside museums in Germany who fancy owning this stuff are guys who wished they’d been there.

  17. bornshopiluv says:

which part of wales was it ?

  18. gashotal says:

What is the difference between buying these items and from purchasing goods from Communist China.
Both fascist and communist regimes are evil, the only difference is that international Communism have murdered 10 times the number the fascists have, each in their own aims of world domination.

  19. Rommel_Returns says:

i know!! ….that’s where i got my uniform.( what do you think?)

  20. Almighty says:

Perfectly legal in this country, war time memorabilly, I bet it was not a Jewish owned shop

  21. Auld Git says:

This type of stuff is freely available and is unfortunately legal in the UK.

  22. Uncle Joe says:

It’s legal to sell such stuff in the UK, although it wouldn’t be in several European countries.

  23. wozza59 says:

No it’s not illegal and neither should it be. Some people are fascinated by this time in history and are most certainly not Nazi’s.

  24. nosdda says:

There is no Law for collecting Nazi memorabilia, however a lot of it on sale is actually made In China and made to look dated. It is not the genuine Nazi stuff.
