This is quite a well known hotel and as the name suggests is used by the fishing, hunting set who probably don't really care what it is like as long as the sport is good and it is in that area of Scotland.

I have worked in many hotels as a student and from what I saw, I would never stay in a hotel again. Maybe what you don't know doesn't hurt, but the staff are paid so low they don't care a damn and I don't blame them. Take my advice and stay in a B & B where some little old wifie will look after you like a king. There are lots of good ones in Pitlochry and area – ask the local library for instance or ring the tourist info. Good luck and enjoy your stay in Scotland. Your friend is having you on believe me.!!

Not heard of it personally but I believe it's one of the Swallow Group of hotels. May I suggest that you do a search as am sure they'll be something about it.

TRY tripadvisor.com you can get honest reports. I always check this sight before booking a hotel

Bang in the centre of Pitlochry, which leads to a disadvantage.

Fishers Hotel is a timing point for all the public transport in the area, which means that it can be busy & noisy. So, despite its reputation, not my first choice of a hotel.
