The minimum requirement for all car rental companies:
    1) You must be at least 21 years old.
    2) You must have held a full U.K. Category B licence for at least 12 months.

If you don’t meet those criteria, then you cannot hire a car.

  2. UK Dad says:

Most rental companies have an age limit, often 25 yr old and require a full license held for 12 months.

  3. Timbo is here says:

Some do over 21s some over 23s and some over 25s
All require the driver to have held a licence for at least 12 months.

Yes it would if you just past your drivers test and you go for a Mercedes or a BMW, they would rather rent it to a much more experience driver.
