I would similar to my crony to turn consecrated so he can wed me as well as my beloved in the road house in scotland though not certain if this is authorised in this country.

    No. There needs to an official ceremony with the laying on of hands in order for it to be valid.

    You're going to have to check with the authorities in Scottland.

    Even in America there is some trouble stirring over this, In fact, Rep. Stan Saylor of PA is about to introduce a Bill regarding this very thing.

    Here in Ohio, not only do you have to be ordained but licensed by the State, as well.

    Your local authority should be able to help you. Ask at the registrar of marriages and deaths. You can still get married in a hotel, even if your friend cannot do this. You make arrangements with either a minister or a registrar and the hotel. Most hotels have a list of who is available and can make the arrangements for you. Good luck.
