I’d contend which around 75% of people who get upon do not compensate their fare….this sunrise a bloke waved a train down as it was about to skip a Bus-stop, a motorist stopped for him, he got upon as well as only sat down though profitable as well as we suspicion ‘you impertinent sod’.. Is it any consternation fares have only left up 20%….
The Bendy Bus has 3 entrances, a single during thr front where a motorist sits a single in a center as well as a single during a behind where we have been ostensible to ‘swipe’ your label though many people don’ do it…

It all begins with parents, having a mother and a father as role models. Sadly today even if one has both it may not be a permanent arrangement. People find it too easy to walk away from problems instead of trying to resolve them and it is the children that suffer. They are left with only Pop stars and Politicians as role models.

Why pay when you don’t have to. If your dumb enough to keep paying then you should pay for everyone else!

  3. Bonzo says:

Company at fault there as they dont want to pay for a conductor!!

  4. Anon. says:

Why didnt the driver make him pay? If he saw he sat down without paying is it not his job to ask him to pay?? In the north east england if you get on the bus, you have to pass the driver and they wouldnt just let u pass without paying! sometimes u can do it on the trains if its too busy for the conductor to get down the gangway.

  5. Deighton says:

well has he got a pass? Why didn’t the driver collect, it’s his job.

If people refuse to pay, best for the driver to announce the bus isn’t moving until he pays.

If people can get away with not paying the fare then quite a lot of them won’t pay it. If the Tube had no ticket barriers or inspectors how many people do you think would bother buying a ticket?

It was the same on the Metro up here in Newcastle until they started running intensive ticket checks a few years ago. Before then, loads of people would travel without a ticket and just pay the £20 fine once a year (on average) that they would be caught. Much cheaper than an annual travel card!

Interestingly when they started to clamp down on fare evasion, crime on the trains went down by a lot as well, as often it was yob/hooligan/chav types who were travelling without tickets.

As with everything in life, it’s honest and decent people who end up subsidising the cheaters.

I can’t understand how he got away without paying. Surely that’s the drivers responsibility – he’s in charge of the bus

Some may be dishonest because of their natural instinct but most of them are reflecting the general attitude of society as they comprise basic unit for it.

  9. vx says:

They say that civilisation is but a thin veneer maintained by the thin blue line (the police). If people thought they could get away with it, I imagine a lot of them would commit all sorts of crimes.

    outrage

Didn’t realise the Boris had given free bus travel in London. It should be extended to the rest of the country
