The message is good, but perhaps the means of delivering it slightly excessive. The trouble is, in order to get the message heard these days, you need to be excessive! Would anyone have taken any notice; Would you have heard about it: if he had walked up and down the Mall with a placard hanging round his neck? If he had just stood there ranting, people would have assumed he was drunk and given him a wide birth.
