It’s the initial time relocating out of the parents’ houses in Canada (21 as well as 20)!!!!!
We’re bringing about £2000 each. Is which sufficient for the initial month’s lease (including the deposit, legislature tax, tv tax, utilities, internet, etc…), the dungeon phone, food, groceries, as well as the bit of fun?
We will have solid compensate for the second month, though need to move sufficient income for the really initial month. We will demeanour for the furnished 2bdrm prosaic in Putney, Clapham, Southfields, Wimbledon or Raynes Park. I’m meditative £250pcw only for rent…does which series receptive to recommendation right?
So vehement though shaken too!!!!! Any recommendation is acquire ![]()

Firstly. Putney, Southfields, Wimbledon and Raynes Park are quite expensive areas. Clapham is also expensive, but based on your £4000 you will be able to afford rent in all of those areas, because £4000 per month is quite a middle class income over here.
My advice to you is, if you will have £4000 per month every month, then rent somewhere fancy, in one of those areas you just stated.
If £4000 is just your first ultimate blowout, then rent somewhere you will be able to afford next month.
£250pcw sounds okay for 2 bedroom flat, but it might not be furnished to your content.
£4000 will cover you, for £1000pcm rent… £1000pcm on utilities… maybe £500pcm on food and £500pcm left over. Knowing how talkative girls can be, you will run up excessive phone bills, as phone companies here commit daylight robbery.
Finally. Welcome to London! (best place on earth)
Also. Best advice to you regarding mobile phones is to get one on contract, with insurance. Muggers here have keen eyes for phones. I’ve been through five iPhones in the past few years, from the very first one, to the iPhone 4. I know five iPhones makes no sense but i ended up buying the iPhone 1… twice. (because i never had insurance and wasn’t on a contract.) Now. I’m on a contract and have insurance, so they replace stolen ones free.
Hi,
I am using a phone, so hope this displays OK.
i cant see ur post while om in the text window on my phone so i hope it posts ok.:)

Food costs, of course depends on how much u eat&drink, whether ur cooking ur own food, buying ready meals, or eating out a lot, theres lots of local stores, which may cost more, or u could go to a Tesco or asda etc and get things at cheaper prices for everyday items like milk, bread and so on.
-Restaurants are in abundance all over London, and prices to suit everyone really.
-TV u can pay for direct debit monthly
-phone… A landline will set u back standing charge per quarter in advance, plus calls, or bundle packs to include calls, if ur going to be phoning Canada a lot to chat with home, direct calling will be high, so try for low international or a calling card/number if using a landline.
-if using cell (mobile), if u are going for contract where u get ur phone free, the various networks offer many different prices for local and international, as well as the included calls u get on contract.
-what we do is use unlocked phones and use multiple sims for calling, orange has free landlines, lebara&others are cheap for international calls and texts, THREE (3), do free skype to skype, so if ur family at home, has skype on their pcs or phones u can phone them free. Its a lot of messing about, but i dont make as much as u, so i need to cut more corners lol. And hey if u can save money here and there, when u go out shopping i can get more clothes and shoes.

On searching u can get 2bed flats between 210 and 300 on this link
-
http://www.harlon.co.uk/propertylist_1.htm
-
They also have 2 bed maisonettes on there for 190.00 & 254 week.
-
Agencies usually require 1 month deposit, 1 month rent + fees. So assuming 250 wk=1,000+1,000+300fees=2300.00 approx.
-
Some agencies want 3months in advance, which is a lot of money.:/

Is another company that google shows up.

-For Internet, landline or cable would be faster, it depends how much speed that u want? Cable offers higher speeds and is not dependant on how close u are to the exchange like u are with EVERY OTHER company as they all use BTs phone lines, sky, tiscali, be, etc.
-if u want lots of TV stations&internet, SKY and Virgin Cable Media are the main 2 u have choice of, their prices can be found on http://www.sky.com http://www.virginmedia.co.uk
-if u have laptops or desktop PCs and u have a decent phone, like iphone, blackberry, nokia e series, etc, then u can buy internet packs for ur phones, and plug the phone into ur laptops USB and then use the phone as an internet modem. The only downside to this is slower speeds if u have bad signal, if u have GREAT signal, then u can get 15GB month on 3 for 15.00 approx. Tho if ur doing a lot of downloading cable/landline would offer better speeds and more data especially if u go with uncapped.
-fun, London is full of fun, from theatres, cinemas, concert arenas and more! There is a lot you can do, and the prices vary from place to place, most theatres shows u can get cheaper from Leicester Square and other booking offices. Tho movies there (L.SQ)will be really expensive, so cinemas/multiplexes outside central london will be cheaper and even better as the cinemas are newer.
-Night Clubs and bars are in abundance, if drinking never trust unbooked taxi cabs. OK be safe.
-Travel, is expensive for cash on buses, tubes and trains. Its better to buy OYSTER CARDS and the cost will be capped off for the day as long as u do th in and out. Example bus ride 1 stop or whole bus journey is 2.00. So 1 bus to shops and 1 bus back is 4.00×2 of u is 8.00.
But on Oyster, its approx 1.20 each per ride, and as it caps off at approx 3.90 u can get 50 buses all day and its still capped at one day price, where as cash wouldnt be. Tube and Train prices are different.
You can also buy travel cards, and travel cards that go ON ur oyster card, which can be bus TC, or all 3 TC, so for 7.20 for 1 day u can ride all the trains tubes and buses from 9am approx thru to 4.30am next day for the one price. And of course theres weekly travel cards for all of them too, and the price goes down, if u buy weekly and monthly passes.
-erm.. Im posting this in case it gets erased.
